A Chinese translation of the 1982 novella The Malady of Death by French author Marguerite Duras. The publications tells the story of a man who pays a woman to spend several weeks with him by the sea to learn "how to love".The translation was produced on the occasion of two staged readings of the novella, part of a conceptual project by Korean artist Haegue Yang, commissioned by Mobile M+: Live art (4-20 December 2015), organised by Doryun Chong and Pauline J Yao, with Alice Teng and Sonia So. The project comprised a staged readings of the novella in Cantonese at the Sunbeam Theatre, Hong Kong on 2015 Dec 4-5, performed by Hon Lai-Chu and Yau Ching.
