Catalogue released to coincide with the 1996 solo exhibition Legends by Victor Lai at Gallery 7 in Hong Kong.Lai wants his paintings to become "Unfinished Finished". To finish the painting means to express oneself's feeling through the media, visual elements and images. In the unfinished aspect, the painter should allow space and brush-strokes for the viewer to interpret and communicate with the painting on its own.
