Summarization of Content

Catalogue to accompany the exhibition Earthy Wings  by Fiona Wong Lai-Ching at the Grotto Fine Art, 2007 Nov 28 - Dec 22.

To live in Hong Kong is, for artists, to live in contradiction. Instead of focusing on East versus West or modern versus traditional, Hong Kong artists often choose to address issues pertinent to a unique existence which embodies temptation and capability, ambition and limitation, desire and reality. Fiona Wong Lai-ching is a leading sculptor of her generation. Through the works of her new exhibition, Wong aims to address the duality of irony of her own Hong Kong existence.
