Summarization of Content

Catalogue of Gordon Cheung's work for an exhibition of his work at Thomas Cohn Galeria in Brazil from November to December 2006.

In Gordon Cheung's paintings the Financial Times stock listings are used as a metaphor for a globalised virtual space that literally saturates and affects our lives. His use of collage, oils, acrylics, Chinese ink, sprays, gels and computers collide to create a florescent dream and a delirious hallucination. Cheung invites us to undertake a journey through his paintings that reflect that techno-sublime where information overwhelms the individual, causing a flickering perception of realities blurring between the virtual and actual.
