Scope and Content

Colour silent single channel video installation, 'The Factory' by Chen chienh-jen. 

Work in which the artist invited former workers to return to the Lien Fu garment factory which had been closed down 7 years earlier.  The film was set in the context of manufacturing moving abroad in search of cheaper labour and owners refusing to pay retirement pensions and severance to former employees.
