History
Amy Cham second open studio featured an installation 'Big Sister', where she constructed a Big Brother style 'diary room' in the residency studio. Members of the public were invited to use the diary room and talk to 'Big Sister'. The footage of the person was broadcast silently in the tearoom to ensure confidentiality in what they chose to talk to Big Sister about. The work looked at issues of relational aesthetics, and art that derives from the act of conversation and interaction. Members of the public were given a quiet space to reflect about themselves as individuals rather than the anonymous urban mass.
