History

Residency partially supported by the Tatton Park Biennial and associated with the Asia Triennial Manchester 2008.

Hong Kong based comic artist, Kong Kee's residency explored the themes surrounding the migration of plants and people in order to develop an animated video work to be screened at the Tatton Biennial. His project explored the movement of the plants and flowers from China to the UK and how this related to the movement of people.
During the residency the artist held a series of workshops for elder Cantonese  speaking members of the local community to record their stories of how they came to the UK.

The results of his research were presented at an open studio held between 26th - 27th June.
