Alma Tischler-wood's practice includes abstract painting including video, photography. The residency was part of the 'Space for 10' residency programme organised by Art House, Wakefield.
Her residency aimed to create a work which invited the viewer to peer below, underneath, aside and inside the work. The artist first presented her work during the Centre's 21st birthday event on the 4th October.
Between the 31st October - 28th November, the artist invited members of the public to paint a 'collective weave' on the wall of the artist's studio, to celebrate live. love and peace. The collaborative work, Love & Peace in three shades of red was open to the public on the 15th December in the artist's open studio.
