Scope and Content

Exhibition catalogue for 'Hong Kong Comic Boom!!' held during the Angoulême International Comics Festival in 2015 by the Hong Kong Arts Centre and Comix Home Base.

"Comix & the City" showcased a wide away of comics and illustration works in which Hong Kong artists express their observations of and feelings for their home city. Depicting a myriad of subject matters ranging from daily life and personal stories of urban dwellers, collective memories, architecture, food, culture to arts, the drawings aim to showcase Hong Kong as multifaceted and vibrant, while showing how sequential narrative and art are engaged with urban language and the experience of city life.
