Summarization of Content

Collection of poetry by Manchester-based poet Li Yan.

The book is a collection of Li Yan's attempts to "subconsciously" search for a new Language by collecting vocabularies and mixing them with his poetry. "The idea was simple. I wanted yo write a type of poetry which combines: (a) deconstructed bits and parts of Chinese ideograms; (b) linguistic messages of form and shapes such as that of icons and signs; and (c) colour language (which tends to be restricted by the expenses of printing on paper, but is now eliciting its potential on the internet"
