Content

Scope and Content

This catalogue was published for the exhibition "Une terrible poetique" in Lyon, France in 2011.

The exhibition features ten Taiwanese artists living in either Taipei or France. The Cultural Centre of Taiwan in Paris selected these artists to globally showcase the diversity of Taiwanese culture and ensure Taiwanese art is successully represented on the contemporary art world map.

Inspired by the 2009 Lyon Biennale, 'une terrible poetique' reacts to phenomena created by globalisation, in a process the editor calls 'international introspection'.
