Summarization of Content

Profile of work by painter Nie Zhengjie in 2014. Includes essay by Wu Shengzhi.

"Nie Zhengjie is a painter creating by intuition. He never pretentiously brings out some ethereal concepts, but follows his heart to depict the people, objects and scenes around him. Nie Zhengjie's technical skills are quite mature, however, his paintings are still occasionally popped out of "countrified", which may relate to the countryside where he was born and raised up. "Countrified" is not the derogatory word here, but rather a true feeling of sour and crude, and this "true" is uncommon among his peers."
