"The form used by Wang Yuping is not aestheticism-overwhelmed, and not the form for form's sake. Provided that we assume his endowment about the form is a constant, then that is his life, his observation on life and the relation between himself and the society. In his paintings, we always can sense the existence of a lonely man, who is maybe an image, a blurry figure or just a symbol; however the hopeless living and the evasive expect are his reflection of his heart and true experience in real life as well."
