Summarization of Content

An immigrant artist, Karen Tam formally transposes the disillusionment experienced by her people and dismantles orientalist strategies, like a magician exposing tricks at the end of a show. But, far from China, the country of her birth has regained its magic; and it seems as if the artist almost lets herself get caught up in her own game. In this polysemic mise en abyme, East and West have exchanged their dreams for the duration of an installation.
