Summarization of Content

Brochure for Zhang Ruyi's solo exhibition: Building Opposite Building at the Don Gallery, Shanghai, held between 2016 Nov 03  - 2016 Dec 25. Includes text by Julie Chun.

The exhibition featured works which represented the artist’s exploration and transformation of the relationships between three elements – the individual, daily realities, and physical spaces. Buildings were "arranged in tension-filled scenes – tightly spaced, staggered, and confrontational, while stand as silent sentinels throughout the exhibition".
