Panni Poh Yoke is a UK artist who references the spiritual nature of the natural environment and works collectively to connect people from diverse backgrounds with each other and their environment.
She was born in London, and has been based in Sheffield for most of her life. Following a degree in textile design, the artist graduated with an MA in art and environment in 2003 from Manchester Metropolitan University. She later awarded an PhD in arts practice, studying her own works along with other contemporary British artists of East Asia heritage in 2010.
Her award winning paintings, photography and live art have been exhibited in art galleries and embassies around the world such as the National Art Museum, China and Irish Embassy, London.
The artist took part in a Whisper residency at the Centre in 2004.
