Jason Lim, born in Singapore in 1996, is a multi-discipline artist whose works include ceramics, photography, video art, installation art and performance art. His practice focuses on the interaction between body, matter and spirit.
He studied at Central St Martins College of Art & Design and graduated with a BA(Hons) in 1992. He also graduated with a Master of Fine Arts from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 2003.
Lim's first show was in Canterbury, United Kingdom in 1992, and he has shown his work in over 20 countries. In 2007, Lim presented work at the Singapore Pavilion of the 52nd
Venice Biennale and the 4th
World Ceramics Biennale in Korea.
In 2007, Lim was one of the artist involved in the Vital 07
festival at the Chinese Arts Centre.
