History

The CD was formerly held with other discs of photographs created by Tim McConvillle in the CFCCA Library. It was initially processed in 2016 as part of the National Lottery Heritage Fund project to bring meaningful access to the Centre's collections. 

In 2021, when the files within the CD were processed, the actual CD was arranged into a provenance hierarchy, based on its accession.

Conditions of Access

The accessible surrogates of the records on the CD are accessible to researchers by appointment in the CFCCA library. The entire contents of the CD are not accessible online due to copyright restrictions and due to the sensitive content of the images.

The CD was initially catalogued in 2016 during a project to bring meaningful access to the CFCCA's collections, supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Rules or conventions

Our archival collections have been catalogued following the International Standard of Archival Description (ISAD(G)) and principles of Records in Context (RiC). The library collection has been documented following the Functional Requirements for Bibliographic Records (FRBR) standard and the International Standard for Bibliographic Description (ISBD).

Subject terms for the collections have been taken from the Resource Description Access (RDA) values which are made available under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License; the National Archives’ PRONOM online registry of technical information; IANA media types. MIME types; Art & Architecture Thesaurus (AAT)® and Thesaurus of Geographic Names (TGN)® which are made available under the ODC Attribution License.
