Catalogue released to coincide with the group show The Real Thing at Tate Liverpool in 2007.

'The Real Thing' was the first comprehensive exhibition of contemporary art by Chinese artists in the UK. The majority of works were either shown for the first time outside China, or were specially commissioned for the exhibition. The exhibition aimed to honestly reflect the sentiments and aspirations of young contemporary Chinese artists, largely based around Beijing and Shanghai.
