Summarization of Content

Monograph which is part of a two volume publication documenting collaborative works by Leung Chi Wo and Sara Wong. Published on the occasion of their exhibition: Museum of the Lost at the Blindspot Gallery, Hong Kong in 2015.

He was lost yesterday and we found him today features a series of staged portraits in which the artists re-enact anonymous figures in old newspapers, pamphlets and other archival materials that they have been collecting for their on-going project Museum of the Lost.

Museum of the Lost preserves objects and images which carry identities that have been absolutely lost, such as people who had been photographed accidentally as part of the background and remained unrecognisable or unidentifiable. As part of history, these lost identities are studied, interpreted and further disseminated by means of exhibitions and publications. The project features an ongoing archive of anonymous figures drawn from various mass media sources.
