Summarization of Content

Exhibition catalogue released in conjunction with "Inter..." at Harris Museum and Art Gallery, Preston in 2004.

"Inter..." explores not only the idea of the gap between but also the idea that the format of display should be allowed to inhabit a space that is hard to define. The audience is invited to view the body of work of seven artists, placed in the familiar setting of the art gallery, where the rules of encounter are well known. They then discover and are taken by surprise by discovering, echoes and ripples of the idea in the wider context of the building and the city beyond.
