Summarization of Content

Catalogue of a selection of Antonia Low's work produced between 2000 and 2008.

Antonia Low is a modern archaeologist, looking back to the past in hope of discovering hidden treasures. With almost forensic precision she tries to penetrate reality, searching to grasp the past and the present. Her cold dissections are filled with a strange melancholy as she explores the 'female touch' on industrial objects. Her work is not an expression of anger or a demonstration of violence, but the result of a special and tender dialogue with space. Breaking down wires, cables and metal is a game which she is happy to explore. The work expresses a kind of menace, a warning in its deconstruction.
