Scope and Content

Proceedings of the 'New Moves: Chinese Arts Conference held at the Victoria and Albert Museum. The conference was produced by Fusion Arts in partnership with the Chinese Arts Centreand the Victoria Albert Museum with financial support from the Arts Council of England, Chinese Arts Centre, and the London Arts Board. The conference was a direct response to the growing recognition and success that Chinese Arts had achieved world-wide. It provided a platform to asess and re-focus British Chinese Arts; how Chinese artist were establishing their creative positions in the international art world, place British Chinese arts within the successful international framework and explore new opportunities and partnerships for British Chinese artists.
