Summarization of Content

Documentation of Ming Wong's video work: Kontakthope (2010).
It contains a installation slideshow, video excerpts and full video preview.

The art work documented a group, comprising artists and curators, taking part in a two day 'Tanztheater’ workshop, where they practice routines from  Pina Bausch’s Kontakthof (1978). Kontathof, where casting plays a pivotal role, contains simple gestures choreographed to explore the relationships between men and women, individual and groups. Ming Wong drew the cast from artists and curators in Berlin which the artist had worked with since moving there. The final cast in the work reveals the nature of the artist's position in the Berlin art scene, influenced by his artistic and personal identity.
