Summarization of Content

Exhibition catalogue for Sara Haq's solo show: The Overland Project, held at the Alexia Goethe Gallery, London,  between 2009 Jan 16 - 2009 Feb 20. Curated by Coline Milliard.

The exhibition comprised an installation featuring photographs and films created by the artist while they carried out a research expedition travelling overland between London and Phuket, Thailand in early 2008. The work presented over a month worth of travel using trains, boats, and buses, through the eyes of the artist.  The catalogue includes texts which also act as a learning resource exploring the subjects faced by the artist, including immigration, migration, work, play, intercultural communication, and the artist as an entrepreneur.
